unique hand crafted pottery

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Hello, I'm Rebekah Schenk, the artist and maker behind Argilla Creations. Each piece that leaves my studio is hand-thrown, shaped, and glazed with care — no two are exactly alike.
Argilla is the Latin word for clay — the very earth beneath our feet. It's a reminder that pottery is one of humanity's oldest art forms, connecting the maker and the owner to something timeless and deeply human.
From functional everyday mugs and bowls to one-of-a-kind decorative vases, every creation carries a piece of my passion for the craft and my respect for the materials.

THE CRAFT
Every Argilla Creations piece goes through a careful, intentional process — from raw clay
to finished, glazed ceramic.
Raw clay is wedged by hand to remove air pockets and create a uniform, workable consistency.
Clay is centered on the wheel and hand-thrown into its intended form — a mug, bowl, vase, or vessel.
After bisque firing, each piece is hand-glazed with earth-inspired colors and natural finishes.
A final kiln firing vitrifies the clay and sets the glaze — creating a durable, food-safe, beautiful piece.
